This page is no longer being updated. As of May, 2013, the Bi-Peds have voted to dissolve.
As of May 13, 2013 the Danvers Bi-Peds voted to take steps to dissolve their organization. We thank all those who supported the organization since it’s founding in March, 2002. You were all a part, whether in a big or small way, for getting the Danvers Rail Trail open in Danvers. We hope all of you will continue to work in your own way for safer biking and walking in Danvers - be that by keeping your sidewalks clear, riding your bikes following the rules of the road, driving your cars with full attention to the road and all its users, etc.
All available funds left in the treasury will be donated to the rail trail, most of it going to fund installation of a crossing light on Poplar St. (Rt. 62) where the trail crosses. The remainder will help to fund a solution to the wet area north of Wenham St. Those of you who have paid dues to the Danvers Bi-Peds can feel good about helping to make these improvements happen.
We are sad to say this site will no longer be updated after May, 2013.
